We have a large inventory of the most popular grades of cross ties:
#1 grade are $25 each plus tax
#2 grade are $18 each plus tax
Relays and #3s are in-stock periodically.
Ties are bundled in sets of 16, however you can purchase any number that you need. It does not need to be increments of 16.
The majority of cross ties in the market are reclaimed from railroad lines so some wear and tear is to be expected. The difference is how much wear and tear.
Our ties are range from 8'6" to 9' long. They are 7” high x 9” wide.
Sizes vary by piece +/- 1/2” on the height and width due to these being reclaimed pieces from the railroad lines.
Each cross tie is approximately 200 pounds. If you are picking up the ties yourself, please ensure that your trailer can accomodate the payload. We are NOT liable for damage to your vehicle or trailer if they are not meant for the weight.

Our ties are creosote-treated. Therefore we strongly suggest not to use them indoors or for vegetable gardens.
Railroad ties are soaked in creosote to protect the wood from decay and insect damage. Creosote is a preservative that helps extend the lifespan of the ties, which are an essential component of railroad tracks.
Of the wooden ties purchased, 98% are either creosote or creosote-borate treated. Approximately 2% of wooden ties are copper naphthenate or copper naphthenate-borate treated.
We do not sell the long spikes or rebar for use with the ties. We recommend Home Depot or other hardware stores for these materials.
